I.     Southern Wine and Spirits of Mississippi and Take A Bite Out Of Crime

In Jackson, the state capitol, Southern Wine & Spirits of Mississippi contributes to the local Take A Bite Out Of Crime program. According to Mr. Treadwell, the charitable program benefits the city’s police force through a variety of activities, including scholarship support for the children of fallen officers, the purchase of bullet-proof vests worn by police department patrolmen and women, and supplemental emergency medical support.

The Company donates both money and wine and spirits products from the Company’s portfolio in support of the group’s various fundraising activities during the year.

II.     Southern Wine & Spirits of Mississippi and Taste of the Nation

The annual Jackson, Mississippi outdoor Taste of the Nation fundraiser benefits local soup kitchens for the homeless, according to Keith Treadwell, Vice President, General Manager of Southern Wine & Spirits of Mississippi. Attracting restaurateurs from across the state, the event features stands where guests may sample local cooking, signature dishes and sample wines and spirits.
